Primes or Zoom Lens for Weddings?

I don't shoot a lot of weddings, but the go-to lens for the latest one was definitely the Tamron 28-75. It makes brides happy because their skin looks smooth, yet it gives enough detail to look sharp on the clothing. The Fuji allowed me to get lots of tones on the white dress while still retaining detail in the groom's tux. Love the dynamic range.
