Hassy basics

A friend of mine wants to unload an absolutely gorgeous Hasselblad 500C with 80mm Planar lens and a spare No. 12 back.

She got the camera as a graduation present a few years back, but seldom uses it. "Book" value on the package is $1,045. I've seen higher and lower on eBay, but that's what she's asking.

Any film lovers want to extend their film shooting for a few decades? Do you know anybody who might be interested?

They put the camera on eBay a couple of times and had no bids at all. There was no public minimum bid, but it didn't matter, because there were no bidders.

I just figured it's an odd item because most Hassy owners already have the normal lens. Do you think she'd be better off selling it off piecemeal? First the back, then the body, then then lens?

Thanks, guys. Yeah, it's an oldie. But some people like oldies in really great shape. Maybe she'll find one of 'em yet.

You could paint it black and say it was 1 of the 12 left on the moon.

Those when and if recovered will be worth Mega bucks.
