Doug Elbinger has been making photographs since the age of 12. While still in high school he photographed the Beatles on stage with them during their August 1966 concert in Detroit. Since then Doug has traveled the world seeking interesting people and places to photograph. For over forty years Elbingers' photos have appeared in countless books, magazines, newspapers, annual reports, album covers, trade journals, catalogs, and web sites. Artists, models, politicians, business people, and families everywhere count on Doug to "put them in a good light".
Based in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, Doug enjoys working on a global scale. Over the span of his career, some of the places Doug has worked include Russia, India, Israel, Egypt, Belize, Nicaragua, Turkey, and extensive travel all over the USA and Canada.
Leveraging skills in portraiture and photo journalism, Doug’s transition to video was a natural progression. In addition to telling stories with images, Doug likes fly-fishing and working his way “off the grid”.
