Atelier 34 is classic yet stylish in its

our intimate studio rests on the top
floor of a six-story building with a
striking view of the Empire State
Building. With two huge skylights and
wall-to-wall windows, our studio
offers an abundance of natural light.

beauty photography. Atelier is

Studio Information:
The Baryshnikov Arts Center
(BAC), located at 450 West
37th Street (between 9th &
10th avenue) in Manhattan,
occupies a total of 12,000
square feet of space on the
top three floors of 37 ARTS.
BAC provides studio and
short-term office space for
rent in NYC, and is easily
accessible from 42nd Street
Port Authority Bus Terminal
and Penn Station. Offices
are located on the fifth
floor, with a communal
reception area, kitchen, and
conference room. Studios are
located on the fourth and
sixth floor, and are column-
free, with high ceilings,
large windows with southern
and western views of
Manhattan & New Jersey,
sprung wood floors, lighting
and sound equipment. The
studios are an ideal setting
for lectures,
meetings/conferences,
showing of new works,
rehearsals, photo shoots and
corporate events. On the
fourth floor, there are two
large studios, with 18'
ceiling height; Studio 4A -
43' x 43' with a maximum
occupancy of 74 people;
Studio 4B - 43' x 29' with a
maximum capacity of 49
people. There is a
retractable wall, and when
used as a combined space or
as a Studio Theatre, the
dimensions are 43' x 72'
with the capacity to seat 80-
192 people, depending on
the type of event. In
addition, there is a 15' x
35' lobby; pantry equipped
with a refrigerator,
countertop microwave oven,
dishwasher and sink;
restrooms with
dressing/locker rooms. On
the fifth floor, Suite 504 -
9' x 12' is available for
short-term rent. Shared
facilities include a
reception area; kitchen
equipped with refrigerator,
countertop microwave, and
sink; and a conference room
18' x 11', with a table and
chairs to hold 10 people. On
the sixth floor, there are
two studios with 20' ceiling
height; Studio 6A - 44' x
43' with a maximum capacity
of 74 people and a western
view of NYC; Studio 6B - 30'
x 27' with a maximum
capacity of 30 people, and a
southern view of New York.
BAC studio hours are Mondays-
Fridays 10am-6pm, Saturdays
11am-4pm. Sunday hours are
by special arrangement only!

Photographic studio readily
available. It measures approx.
12x15. It comes equipped with
two 300 watt heads, 2 500 watt
heads, 2 600 watt tungsten hot
lights with barn doors, three
reflectors, 3 umbrellas, 2
soft boxes, gels and black
foil for optimal lighting
effects. Or feel free to bring
your own equipment. Also
included are backgrounds and a
high power fan. You'll also
have access to the PC with
Photoshop CS and a universal
chip reader for digital
shoots. You can burn a CD
right after the shoot (please
bring own CD's). There is also
a separate room for a makeup
artist and hair stylists and a
cloths rack for a stylist.
Studio has heat and A/C for
comfort. It’s a great studio
for professional, student or
advanced photographers. You
can shoot fashion, editorial,
headshots and artistic shoots.
