I have been painting for as long as I can remember. My great grandmother was a painter, my mother a photographer, my father studied film. I have very little training in what I do other than from my parents and my elementary school art teacher (who was awesome enough to teach her students about pointillism, among other things when we were like 8 maybe?). Cool stuff! I work mostly with acrylics, and mostly out of my head. Some of my paintings I've completed in one or two sittings, some have taken over a year or more. I love color and layering and textures. The 8 ft tall piece on paneling was cut from the bedroom wall in my old Williamsburg apartment. I'm currently working on a series of large abstract landscapes.
