Before moving into Photography in 2002, Nyk had a 12 year career as a Graphic Designer / Art Director in Print Media and Advertising. Most notably for the Sun Herald and Singleton Ogilvy and Mather.
Nyk studied photography at the Sydney Institute of TAFE (Ultimo). He is also a graduate of the advertising industry's AWARD School and has a BA (history and philosophy of art) from the Australian National University.
