HEIDY SEILER was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, where she later married Eric Seiler, an artist and master goldsmith. They moved to Tasmania, Australia, where Seiler was employed and trained as a textile designer, an occupation for which she felt very well suited, as color, design, drawing and painting are second nature to her. Upon moving to the United States, Seiler continued her studies at Ventura College, as well as with artists from the Art League of New York, including the renowned still-life artist, David Leffel. She also studied at the art league of Los Angeles under noted artists Hal Reed and Joyce Pike, and at the California Art Institute she studied under the established artist Neil Boyle. Her defining career move was when she studied under and was mentored by the late classical still-life artist Frederick Grue. Seiler has become a world class artist who has won many awards for her work, and her paintings are held in private collections throughout the world.
Heidy Seiler is an Artist Member of the California Art Club.
