I was curious if anyone had any recommendations for accurate color management / monitor calibration?
I've gone through the adobe color management wizard, which helped somewhat, though I'm finding that my skin tones are coming out slightly off.
I'm using a flatscreen lcd, which probably isn't helping matters.
Anyway, I was just curious how others are handling color management.
La Cie makes a very affordable and accurate system. It creates ICC profiles etc. DenisP took my advice and is loving his config from them. I used them to color correct 3 BCBG/Herve Leger runway collections so the ads and the lookbooks matched the fabrics perfectly.
NEVER TRUST SOFTWARE ALONE!
depending on the hardware date, sometimes chipsets may vary, monitor cables may wear thin, even corroded contacts effect the results, so unless the computer tells the coloreye "this is green" and the eye sees something slightly off, it will balance itself.
