Having worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, the above quote aptly describes Virna Acosta's work as a Makeup Artist. She began her career in 1995 by first working on independent films. She honed her skills by receiving training for makeup lines such as Awake, Makeup Forever and Stila, just to name a few. In the years to come, Virna's work has garnered her the attention of many musicians, actors and magazines.
As Virna became more experienced in the industry, she decided to delve into the art of hair with Italian-born hair-stylist Fabio Scalia. "I realized that if I wanted to take my craft to the next level and make myself more marketable, learning about styling hair was the best way to do it." As a result, she has been booked nationwide for photoshoots and has worked for much sought after photographers such as Platon, Sabestian Smith and well known NYC based photographer, Dorothy Shi.
